#97 /100 Reasons I Blog4Peace / GRATITUDE part2

Yesterday I wrote about Gratitude .
When I tried to break it down into words it seems so hard .
I can't type that fast . peck peck peck

I had to stop because I had to get outside and water my gardens.
the waterloo blue is starting to bloom

I have 2 hours to think while I try to keep everything growing in this record breaking heatwave and drought. It will be 104 again today as it was yesterday ...

As I started to water I thought about the post I just wrote about Gratitude. what a list...
I try to be grateful for everything in my life ! That is what helps me "stay at Peace" hmmm .

Maybe I need a series of Gratitude blogs ??
I like that ... what makes me Grateful  so I can "Stay at Peace"?

As I watered I thought about how grateful I am for Carl.
He has helped me rethink and rebuild my life . He has been God sent for me .  We have the same goals to make our little acre a place of peace ... for us ... the animals and other critters  that live around us and the next generation to come.
We make a good team on this house , yard and gardens .
We are good for each other .

As I walked to the second hose , I thought about ....
I was grateful that Carl dug  ditches and ran waterlines 100 feet or more and set up 3 hoses for me to water all my treasures .
I am grateful for him not being as Cheap as me!
So He buys stuff that last and does it's job well ...like the Pull Once self propelled push mower that pulls me along it is so powerful ,  making mowing a Lot easier .
He gave me the choose when we got this place ...
"Our little Acre of Peace "
We can have a riding mower and a uniformed yard or a push mower and as many flower beds as I want anywhere I want !!! Of course that is why I push and he does the weed-whacking  and bush removal !
He loves me for Who I Am ... not an easy job .
He helps my sons when he can .

Ginger adores him too.
loves nature as much as me

here is one of several benches He made from cut trees

He loves the G-kids as his own and they love Him too.
Papa Carl helping Bradllee and his buddy play in the water at the park.

Papa Carl with Benjamin
Carl with Flora
I am also grateful for his kind heart that makes him help our neighbors too like Flora !
I am grateful for all the things he does for me and with me . He gives me Peace sharing life with him .
Thanks for stopping by now it is time to go play in the garden for a while and think of what I will post tomorrow .
Peace and Blessing to You all.

#98 /100 Reasons I Blog4Peace / GRATITUDE

I asked myself : “What would give you peace of mind ?"
Madison, Indiana Broadway Fountain
Maybe taking a trip back home to see My fountain ? I say My fountain because I this is where I went to meditate as a child .
I still go there in my thoughts sometimes. It would be nice ....

But going to places– is a temporary solution …
Peace of mind never comes from going places , just being there! You always come back tired and feeling behind for taking the time away...
What about one of those sound machines that makes water sounds ... I could close my eyes and pretend it was my fountain!
Then I would have to find a place for it on my cluttered night stand . Filled with books of how to , seeds and garden wishes for tomorrow...
When you get more stuff, you have to find a place for IT , take care of IT ,maybe insure IT.
Then You will want even more stuff! That Stuff can own You...
Peace of mind starts with…GRATITUDE
gratitude - a feeling of thankfulness and appreciation; "he was overwhelmed with gratitude for their help"
feeling - the experiencing of affective and emotional states;
appreciativeness, gratefulness, thankfulness - warm friendly feelings of gratitude
Being grateful for what we have right now.
GRATITUDE is POWER
When we are GRATEFUL for what we have – for the friends we have, and for the things we’ve got, we attract more good people and good things!
Follow the lead of our spiritual leaders .
Every time you say a silent “thank you” with a heart of gratitude, whatever your circumstances, you will become more peaceful…
People who always complain about what they DON’T HAVE, stay stuck.
Complainers attract more things to complain about!

I am Grateful for many things . I wish there was some way of showing my gratitude for all the blessings in my life .

My Sons they are the loves of my life . I have always wished them happiness and peace over material wishes . And the fact that all are healthy and working in these days is something to be grateful for !
My grandchildren , the hope for tomorrow .
Sadly because of things beyond my control I do not get to see 3 of my 5 grandchildren. This will change one day I pray and hope , for that I will be grateful . Giving up on them because it is not the way I want it would never happen .
Like Peace I have to believe it can happen one day !
Maybe I need to do more than 1 blog about being Grateful...
I have so many more things to list .

 Wishing You gratitude today ....
Thank You for coming by ... Peace

#99/100 Reasons I Blog4Peace/ Hope for the future

#99 of the count down  of My reasons I Blog4Peace

When people reach out to others for no reason of greed , just "Hope for the Future" generation !
I found this video of a remix of a song that has guided my life in many ways  ...
To try to find "a little Good news today " everyday ...
To find some positive in a negative situation .

I found this fabulous story at Sanford Herald http://sanfordherald.com/bookmark/14863270

Jean Johnson, manager of one of Our local Kangaroo Convenience Store at the intersection of Horner Boulevard and Woodland Avenue, launched a summer reading exchange program last month as a way to motivate children to spend their summer vacation immersed in the world of reading. So far, she said the response has been greater than she anticipated.
Johnson ran the idea by her supervisor and was granted permission to launch the program at the Kangaroo store. Next to the counter, a cart is filled with an assortment of short stories for younger readers and chapter books for older children to choose from. Johnson started by purchasing a few second-hand books, but she has accumulated a wider selection as people have donated books throughout the summer.

Kids who come into the store take books to read, return them to the Kangaroo and take a few more. When they return the books, they give Johnson a list of what they read, and she adds their tally to a poster hanging above the counter. The kids also receive a small prize, such as a pack of gum or a small toy.

Johnson said the participating kids range in age from about 3-10.

#100 /100 Reasons I Blog4Peace / Why ?

Posted by Picasa
I took a challenge today . At Mimi Writes.. at
http://mimiwrites.blogspot.com/2011/07/100-days-100-reasons-are-you-up-for.html
She challenged her Peace Globe Worker Bees , the Peace Bloggers  and all the rest of the world to get started . Here is what she said ...
This is my challenge: If you are a peace blogger (even if you're not!) join me in counting down to the next BlogBlast For Peace on November 4, 2011. We say we want peace? The world wants to know why. Let's tell them.  Simply post this logo on your blog or FB page with one reason each day for the next 100 days.
How many reasons can we find?
Let's go!

I signed up all excited , added my clock on the sidebar to the left and my logo on the right !
Then realized I would really have a time trying to Blog everyday for 100 days ~ I am getting writers block already ??
Then I thought what if I made a page for it ? hmm that won't work
What if I just blog as normal and give a reason then ? hmm I normally don't blog everyday ?? I can do it ....
I could post a picture of something that gives me Peace right?
that should be easy , I have 1000's .
I don't like focusing on the politics of reasons for Peace , but should I?
Writer's block... okay I will just use something I have today and worry about tomorrow's blog tomorrow.

Count down 100 and counting ...  .
I blog for Peace in Hope ... Hope that some day this world will stop being so violent and get along.
Here is a video I did yesterday for a org on facebook called ...  "Weed out Hate : Sow the Seeds of Peace" . They are spreading the word of Peace through seeds . You know me I love seeds and Flowers !!
Sunflowers are the thing they push here, this is what they say ...
"Peace Seeds" Sunflower Seeds - The are "Smart" Seed Paks with an important message on the back panel: Sunflowers, like peace require much more than hope to flourish. A powerful symbol, they motivate children of all ages to pursue paths of peace. Begin by rooting out weeds, a metaphor for hate, bias, and prejudice. Freed from such negativity, your spirit with bloom enabling you to sow the seeds of peace.
