#42/100 Reasons I Blog4Peace /because Peace Rocks

As you know if you normally read here I have some amazing
Peace-Blogger friends and meeting more all the time!
I have been trying to remember to add their blog link in the right sidebar but sometimes that just does not seem to be enough...
A day or 3 ago a Peace-blogger Alison posted a link to her blog where she is showing the 7000th Peace Rock she created.
That is right 7000 times she took time to do something for Peace !
I have made a few rocks with pressed flowers on them and peace signs or a word or 2 of inspiration on it !

But She really impressed me.
I think it is time to get my rocks out again !  I have been hoarding them ?

She shares them with the world to spread Peace!
I think that is pretty cool and I thought she deserved a little applause for it !

Here is her blog go by and check it out ... then check out her etsy store too.

#43/100 Reasons I Blog4Peace / for North Carolina

It is so wonderful to have Peace blogger friends like at
https://www.facebook.com/BlogBlastForPeace
I read a quote that someone posted that stuck on my mind all day.

I am only one, but I am one.
I cannot do everything, but I can do something.
And I will not let what I cannot do interfere with what I can do.
Edward Everett Hale

That made me think about how we are all like grains of sand in the universe . But if you gather a few 1,000 or so grains of sand together ...
put them in a working together and they can become something wonderful.

So I looked for some Peace loving people in North Carolina and I found some !

This Wednesday is the United Nations’ International Day of Peace. Across North Carolina and the world, people will be working to add peace to the world on this day. Go here and you can find out more.

#44/100 Reasons I Blog4Peace/a woman for president?

In 1872 Victoria C. Woodhull was the first woman to run for president with Frederick Douglass for as vice president !

Wow , Why did I just hear about this ? I would surely remembered if they would have told that in our so called History books of the 60's and 70's ?

What kind of world could we be now if that had happened then?

This woman was so awesome ,gutsy , so smart she scared the folks of her time . She went to jail and was there on election day for speaking her mind !

Where is that kind of candidate now ?

I have to admit trying to come up with 100 reasons to blog for peace , can be interesting.

I am learning about people that strive for Peace and equality for the world . I also learn about the people that have fought to make this world more peaceful !

You can go to this link and find out a lot about this amazing event in history we missed out on because American Monopoly had already started by then too or search her name ! guaranteed good read.

If you spliced the genes of Hillary Clinton, Madonna, Heidi Fleiss and Margaret Thatcher, you might have someone like Victoria Woodhull.
- Steve Murray, Star-Telegram review of America's Victori
a

QUOTE:

"The truth is that I am too many years ahead of this age and the exalted views and objects of humanitarianism can scarcely be grasped as yet by the unenlightened mind of the average man."
-- Victoria Woodhull, to a reporter after losing the 1892 election.

Are there other Victoria's out there? Or Vick' I just want someone that will stand up for the people that need it most !

till next time

May Peace and Blessings be upon You.
