#36/100 Reasons I Blog4Peace/ Blog Media Power #2

Hello all I am doing a follow up as promised on the Occupy Wall St post ! I figure since the media needs violence to show attention , we bloggers need to get busy giving credit the people out there trying to change the world Peacefully!

I am pleased to say I have learned it is breaking out everywhere! Including my home state North Carolina , hopefully I can find one near me soon as of now most are on the opposite side of the state ? none at the capital yet?
I want to watch these protest with Hope for Unity brought by Peaceful means and actions !

Why they are "repeating-" the NYPD has forbidden them from using megaphones or any amplification. Every word, in every assembly, has been shouted back like this, to make sure that everyone can hear. Usually starts with a "mic check..." "MIC CHECK!" "mic check..." MIC CHECK!" "
NYPD has forbidden them from using megaphones or any amplification" Unbelieveble !
You have the freedom to speak!

We the People have found our voices !

I found this comment from someone after viewing this video that I felt was worth repeating
When they chanted we the people have found our voice, at the end of this magnificent speech, my eyes watered up a bit I almost shed a tear. This is an amazing time to be alive in this world, and I am so proud of the people all over the world who are making a final stand against evil and inequality. I can feel the scales weighing destinies in my soul, and I see and feel change rolling like tsunamis across the face of this place we call home. Long live the true spirit of Humanity.
Anyway I found this site that list a lot of the places that are gathering in Protest...

“Occupy Together”looks-like-the-movement-to-unify-all-protests/

here is the nearest I found near me now and I can pick my Mom up on the way too!

Well I am off to check out some daily news on this and see what I can find?
LOL I thought I was , I just got a call from an elderly 80ish neighbor needing walnuts picked up from her yard ! So I am off to do what I believe helps bring Peace to this world more than anything....People taking time to CARE for our fellow man.

May Peace and Blessings be upon You!

#37/100 Reasons I Blog4Peace/ Blog Media Power

Why isn't the media covering Peace ?
I am going to keep repeating this till I have an answer ? Let's all repeat it !

I found this on TED.Com Please watch it .Share it!
In 2003, the Palestinian village of Budrus mounted a 10-month-long nonviolent protest to stop a barrier being built across their olive groves. Did you hear about it? Didn't think so. Brazilian filmmaker Julia Bacha asks why we only pay attention to violence in the Israel-Palestine conflict -- and not to the nonviolent leaders who may one day bring peace

Let's make blog media strong ! Thanks
May Peace and blessings be upon you.

#38 /100 Reasons I Blog4Peace/ Occupy Wall Street

Okay I have been busy here on our acre of peace and not trying to see what was going on in the rest of the world to try to clear my mind.

Trying to blog for Peace everyday can be a challenge.
Because there is so many reasons it is hard to wrap your mind around 1 thing?
I also have a page on Facebook called " I Love Peace " where I ask folks to post things to Promote Peace. One of the Peace Loving people there posted about the "Peaceful Protest Occupying of Wall Street"
Thanks to this person I did some checking....
I have not seen anything on the regular news ???
A friend told me that a Peace blog should not be covering politics ?
I can't see how we will make Peace happen till the Leaders of the world realize we are Not happy with what is going on and we need Peace .

Peace of mind that comes with jobs, food & shelter for everyone !
This is a request I see in country after country .... the rich get richer and the poor gets the shaft!

So for the next few Reasons I blog for Peace ,  I am going to be Political !
I am going to try to find the Peace filled Protesters that are working for a Better World for all . Not just the fat cats of the countries!

I must believe in the power of the word , the power of the people, the power of Bloggers !

Have you heard about the protesters on Wall St ! They have been there 11 days !
Why haven't we heard more about this ?
Why doesn't the media cover Peace ? It took violence from the police to get the media cover it!

In the 11 days since they arrived, a few hundred activists protesting American capitalism have turned a New York City park into an urban campground, with rules, routines and entertainment.
Down With Wall Street, but Keep the Pizza Coming

Occupy Wall Street- Police Brutality, Arrests, MSM blackout

Let the Revolution begin ! As long as they stay at Wall St I will keep posting for them each day and maybe more !
If you post about this remember tag your story with Occupy Wall Street
Let them know we are talking about them !

Make Peace and Blessing be upon us all !

#39/100 Reasons I Blog4Peace /Woman Power

I can promise you that women working together - linked, informed and educated - can bring peace and prosperity to this forsaken planet.
Isabel Allende

I believe this and for that reason I am sharing links where Women can get involved !
Here are some links to Women trying to make a difference .

Women as peacemakers: from victims to re-builders of society

While the plight of women in war often gets close media attention, what is often overlooked is the vital role played by them in negotiating peace and rebuilding societies.

#40/100 Reasons I Blog4Peace /Common Sense RIP

Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend,
Common Sense, who has been with us for many years.
No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape.
He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as:-Knowing when to come in out of the rain; - Why the early bird gets the worm;- Life isn't always fair; - And maybe it was my fault.
Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies, don't spend more than you can earn and adults, not children, are in charge. His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place.
Reports of a 6-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate;
teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.
Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children.
It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer sun lotion or an aspirin to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.
Common Sense lost the will to live as the churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims.
Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.
Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.

Common Sense was preceded in death, by his parents, Truth and Trust, by his wife Discretion, his daughter Responsibility, and his son, Reason.
He is survived by his 4 stepbrothers; I Know My Rights, I Want It Now, Someone Else Is To Blame, I'm A Victim. Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone.
If you still remember him, pass this on.
If not, do nothing
May Peace and Blessings be upon you.

#41/100 Reasons I Blog4Peace / multicultural

I found this statement on Facebook reading a friend's post at
The Whole World Against Racism
I thought it was worth sharing ....
Had nature not created pigment variations in our skin color.
We would have no ancestors & if we had no ancestor they would be no us!
People living in hotter climates would have never survived! And people who migrated to colder climates would never survive!
Our very existence hinged upon adaptation to climate and environment.
At this point we are of such a homogenous sort, that all humans are 95.95% identical.
The 05 %difference was nature insuring that the other 95,95% would survive!
Eric Gibson
Well I personally think it would be one boring world if we all looked the same , acted the same , ate the same. Boring...
We become not a melting pot but a beautiful mosaic. Different people, different beliefs, different yearnings, different hopes, different dreams.~President Jimmy Carter

May Peace and Blessings be upon you.
