Speak Up... tell your story

Wear a ribbon

I grew up seeing more than my share as a child and fought to break the circle as an adult .
I have dealt with mental and physical abuse in my life ...
I still am not ready to write that book ... I will say it is not a chapter of my life anymore !

Till then I will just say ...
" Respect yourself ! Don't allow abuse to yourself or others to go on . "

Step Out... if you are in a bad relationship ,just GO

Step Up ... if you see Domestic Violence happening , Say something !

BLUE RIBBON: April is Child Abuse Prevention and Awareness Month

made by Michelle Frost ,one my favorite !
Life has been crazy this year so I have not had much peace to blog about ? You could say it has been a Fracking mess . March of this year I learned about fracking aka Hydraulic Fracturing
I can honestly say it has made me more into politics than I ever thought I would !
Also for the first time I am Scared as hell how the voting turns out ,especially local because of fracking. So my Peace I hope will come after Nov 6 or i may just give up on the system all together !
I decided to make a cute globe banner this time , hoping it would make folks smile like when they see a child's artwork !

I made this picture to be sent to a Pakistan Museum with other pictures made from pressed flower & plant art to be displayed in Feb 2013 .
I belong to a wonderful group of people called ,
World Wide Pressed Flower Guild which share knowledge together and with others on how to Paint with petals ! So if you love pressing come check it out .
What better way to spread "Peace on Earth " than through the love of flowers ? They are as Universal as a Smile !

Here are a few other pictures that share Peace !

Drones? /wage Peace

As I search for Peace to blog .... I find these kind of things,it breaks my heart . The world never seemed so big until the internet came along. Now I live in the USA , I am a member of a "World Wide Pressed Flower Guild" and Blog with an International blogging group of 1000's at
I have friends all over the world ! How can I not worry about the killing in the world ? i help teach children in Pakistan about the love of flowers and pressed flower art !
How can I not want Peace ?
When will the Killing stop ?
I have learned to do a search for a map of the area, articles talk about to make my mind see where people are ... We are all part of this world , no matter the race , culture or beliefs we are are made of the same skin and blood.
I just felt I needed to share this sites with everyone . Tell me what you think ?
the CODEPINK alert is a feisty call for people to "wage peace."

As always

Power of Music

I decided to get my blog woke up and get ready for Blogblast for Peace .
To learn how you can get involved go here

this was my globe from last year , come back on the 4th to see my new one .

This really touched me Jack Leroy Tueller’s decision to play his trumpet for the last remaining German sniper threatening his unit so moved the sniper that he couldn’t shoot, and surrendered the next morning. By choosing to play “his love song” Jack recognized the fear and loneliness common to all of us. Now 90, he shares his precious story with us.

# 6 /100 Reasons I Blog4Peace / What's going on ?

I was looking for something to inspire me to get back to my Peace blog . I started this blog list thinking I would be posting about things that give me Peace hopefully giving someone a little peace too along the way.
What I realized is I needed to focus on a wider view ... What could help make the world More Peaceful ? Who is out there trying ?
How can I help change the world for the better , one person at a time? I can help spread the word of Peace !
Show ...What's going on.
You can too . Be a Peace Builder , One song , one blog ,one tweet with the hashline #Peace ,  one Share , one smile , one hug can make the difference .
I saw this video of John Legend singing one of my very favorite songs "What's going on " by my favorite singer Marvin Gaye. This song sadly is as needed today as it was nearly 30 years ago .... Generation X Y Z need to pay attention . He had the young people singing with him and really feeling it ! Let's hope this will help others to Look to see What is Going ON , and make changes for the better. Let's hope there will be some Peacekeepers out of them.
John Legend, with a little help from the kids from Duke Ellington School for the Arts, launched

I have spent my life wondering "What's going on?"
How did the American Monopoly get so powerful?
How can a country that was built on freedom have racism still going on so strongly?
How can people spend millions on unnecessary things while watching others starve and live in Poverty around them?
How can we call ourselves God fearing people , but refuse to take care of what was given to us as stewards ?
Here is a great video of another song that still brings an important message .They put it with a video about people that have brought about change and changed the course of history as we've known it.Let's add to this list by changing the

This is the last for today . Was Marvin Gaye a prophet ? He sure predicted a lot of things a long time ago.
Oh, mercy mercy me
Oh, things ain't what they used to be
No, no Where did all the blue sky go?
Poison is the wind that blows From the north, east, south, and sea
 Oh, mercy mercy me
Oh, things ain't what they used to be No, no
Oil wasted on the oceans and upon our seas Fish full of mercury
Oh, mercy mercy me Oh, things ain't what they used to be No, no Radiation in the ground and in the sky
Animals and birds who live nearby are dying
Oh, mercy mercy me
Oh, things ain't what they used to be What about this overcrowded land?
How much more abuse from man can you stand?
My sweet Lord My sweet Lord My sweet Lord

Thanks for stopping by please click share and keep the peace message going.
May Peace and Blessing be upon You and our world.

# 7/100 Reasons I Blog4Peace / Martin Luther King Jr. made me Believe

I had to come out of hibernation to say ,"Happy Birthday to
Martin Luther King Jr.

The thought came to me sitting here this morning as I saw all the events set for MLK Day .
"where would We Americans & the World be today without Martin? His beliefs , I am not talking about religion , I am talking about His BELIEFS.
something believed;  an opinion or conviction: example : a belief that that all men are equal  .

After seeing a couple tributes on TV this morning and hearing the Ultimate "I Have a Dream" quote brought thoughts of the speech that touched me as strongly.
I was only 2 when this speech from Martin was originally spoke .It was later that I heard it ...I was a small mixed child that knew the effects of poverty and racial diversity .
The quote highlighted below, I could relate to strongly .

It's good to my heart to know that the next Generations ahead X ,Y, Z and beyond will have his words to give them strength too.

I found this part of his Nobel Prize speech at this link

Martin Luther King Jr.
I refuse to accept the cynical notion that nation after nation must spiral down a militaristic stairway into the hell of thermonuclear destruction.

I believe that unarmed truth and unconditional love will have the final word in reality. This is why right temporarily defeated is stronger than evil triumphant.

I believe that even amid today's mortar bursts and whining bullets, there is still hope for a brighter tomorrow.
I believe that wounded justice, lying prostrate on the blood-flowing streets of our nations, can be lifted from this dust of shame to reign supreme among the children of men.

I have the audacity to believe that peoples everywhere can have three meals a day for their bodies, education and culture for their minds, and dignity, equality and freedom for their spirits.

I believe that what self-centered men have torn down men other-centered can build up.

I still believe that one day mankind will bow before the altars of God and be crowned triumphant over war and bloodshed, and nonviolent redemptive good will proclaim the rule of the land.

"And the lion and the lamb shall lie down together and every man shall sit under his own vine and fig tree and none shall be afraid."
I still believe that We Shall overcome!
I hope you will share this with others , to keep his message of peace going.

May Peace and Blessings be Upon You.
